Catarroja, 21 September 2026.
Catarroja Town Council has recognised Valoriza’s work during the DANA that affected the municipality on 29 October 2024. The award was presented at an official ceremony held at the Municipal Hall, dedicated to the memory of the victims and to thanking those who took part in the emergency response.
During the ceremony, nearly 1,300 awards were presented to law enforcement and emergency services, municipal workers, essential service providers, social organisations and volunteers from across Spain.
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between public authorities, professionals and the public in meeting the needs of the population and dealing with the consequences of the floods.
The ceremony began with a wreath-laying and a minute’s silence in memory of those who lost their lives. Representatives from victims’ associations also took part, highlighting the solidarity they received in the days following the disaster.
For Valoriza, this award recognises the hard work and dedication of its staff during a particularly difficult time.
The company would like to thank Catarroja Town Council for this recognition and continues to remember the victims, their families and all those affected by the DANA.
