Valoriza reinforces cleaning services in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Cádiz during their carnivals with extensive special measures

The operations deployed allowed normality to be restored in record time after the celebration of the two most important carnivals in Spain

The carnivals in Cádiz and Santa Cruz de Tenerife are two of the most important festive events on the national calendar. Thousands of people fill the streets every year to enjoy a unique tradition that combines music, culture and conviviality.

To make this intense activity compatible with the care of public spaces, Valoriza has deployed special cleaning and waste collection measures in both municipalities, designed specifically to meet the needs of these events.

In Cadiz, the operation enabled more than 100 tonnes of waste to be collected in a single day, combining ordinary collection with the extraordinary tasks arising from the celebrations. Thanks to the coordinated work of the teams, the streets of the historic centre were clean and ready to continue with the festive programme.

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the special unit removed nearly 228 tonnes of waste during the busiest days. More than 190 professionals and a large fleet of vehicles and specific machinery worked continuously to restore normality after the most crowded events, also reinforcing selective collection.

Both operations included intensive sweeping, hosing down, waste removal and selective cleaning, adapted to the schedules and flow of attendees. This planning allowed for rapid intervention and minimised the impact of the celebrations on the urban environment.
