Valoriza takes advantage of LED technology to improve the safety of its urban services

A new system delimits the machinery's area of operation, reducing the risk of an accident occurring

Madrid, July 18, 2024.

Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales continues to expand its commitment to safety, implementing innovative systems that reduce the risk of accidents.

The latest innovation in this line involves the use of LED technology to delimit the area of action of its vehicles used for urban services, such as sweeping machines or waste collection trucks. In this way, the space to be left free is marked on the ground thanks to a powerful red light.

It is a system that delimits, signals and highlights the operator's space to act in front of surrounding vehicles, thus reducing the risk of being run over.

This new system is already being used in the street cleaning service of Madrid, passing the great test that was the cleaning after the LGTBIQ+ Pride Parade, in which it was also necessary to ensure the safety of the hundreds of people who were still in the streets of the capital.

Diana Alonso, Health and Safety Director at Valoriza, explains that “this new system was one of the winning ideas of our first Health and Safety Awards, in which we could see the involvement of our staff in continuing to create increasingly safer working environments”.
