Engaging citizens in recycling is essential to achieve a sustainable future. Encouraging the correct recycling of all types of waste, promoting the circular economy, especially from an early age, is always one of the goals of environmental services companies. Likewise, encouraging the active participation of the community in waste management by involving young people and with them their family and social environment is a challenge for these companies.
The solution
Recysmart technology is key
The resource consists of implementing a reward system for the correct recycling of plastic containers, bricks, cans and glass, with the aim of boosting participation, promoting the circular economy and advertising local businesses. Recysmart technology is key in this process to characterise recycled materials and reward citizens for their participation.
Functioning
User ID: Citizens log in with the App or RFID card to identify themselves and start the recycling process.
Characterisation: They put their containers one by one into the correct container and RecySmart characterises the material in real time.
Reward/Refund: The citizen will receive the corresponding recycling points to exchange for rewards or refund of deposit.
Data submission: All data (user ID + recycled packaging) is sent to our platform for processing and analysis.
